If negotiations with RDJ fall through on getting a pay raise for the Avengers cast and everyone rage quits maybe Marvel will finally start development on other movie projects.

Say, one that has been on the back burner for the past, oh, 3-4 years.

And maybe that new movie will spark a renewed interest in that particular comic since it’s been on hiatus since bloody 2009 and then they’ll finally continue it.

Like, they went to world-class beauty school while they were in their mother’s womb and there they learned how to use, like - make-up and a curling iron and mousse and all that stuff fantastically flawlessly.

The thing with a “main character”, is that the reader see the story/world from that characters point of view - we can often read the characters thoughts and feelings more than other characters in the story. You can also use the perspective to increase this “effect”.

You can use the eye-level to display the world seen from the main character. Look at the two pictures above, the characters have the same size on both pictures - the only difference I’ve made is to switch eye-level. And by just doing this, we switch between the adult and the kids point of view - even though they both look at the same thing.

So, when you are doing a perspective, FIRST decide the eye-level and after that start placing out all those annoying guidelines.

If they were going to kill off Chase in Avengers Arena, why would they go through the trouble of bringing Old Lace back from where-ever-she-was in Avengers Academy?

I mean, Chase still has that telepathic link with Old Lace, right, ever since Gert transferred it over to him? And if Old Lace’s ‘master’ or whatever dies, Old Lace dies, too, right?

So what would be the point if Old Lace comes back and just dies again? I mean, surely they could have found SOME other way to get The Runaways and Avengers Academy kids mixed up together before Arena happened.

If anyone ever gives you shit for your sexuality and tries to make you feel guilty for kissing who you want to kiss, or not wanting to kiss anyone at all, you tell them to STFU and GTFO.

This goes for straight people as much as it does for LGBT people.

I’m just really sick of seeing people demonizing all straight people, saying that bisexual people’s opinions on LGBT issues are invalid and that anyone who is asexual doesn’t count or matter.

I think the main difference between a hero and a heroine in traditional narratives is that a hero’s strength is defined by how much he can win, while a heroine’s is defined by how much loss she can endure.

I think that’s kinda fucked up.

I have noticed this trend as well. I’ve heard a LOT of writers talking about how you have to break women down, hurt them, and humiliate them in order for the audience to find them sympathetic heroes, in ways that are not applied, at least not in the same quantity, to male characters.

This is a movie about a kid who leaves her birth family.

Not a kid who find that they have a secret lineage or something that allows them to find their ‘true family’ - this is a movie about a kid whose true birth family is made up of bad people. So she gets out. And that is played as the right thing to do. She isn’t punished for it or made to feel bad about ‘abandoning her family’. There isn’t an underlying ‘but they’re your family and you have to love them’ or ‘they’re your family and they love you even if they don’t show it well or do hurtful things’ message of the kind that I see OVER AND OVER AND OVER AND OVER in media. Matilda gets out and livess happily ever after because of it.

We need a million more movies like this to counter the metric shit ton of movies that directly counter this message.
